The annual UK-wide Small Business Saturday is taking place on Saturday 3 December.

The national event is about supporting Brecon's small businesses who are a vibrant and key part of our town.

It's been another tough year for traders and our small independent businesses have shown remarkable resilience, innovation and adaptation.

Show your support for all their hard work by shopping locally this winter and taking part in the Small Business Saturday events.

King Charles III and Queen Camilla historic visit to Brecon…

Greeted by local children from Priory Church in Wales, Their Majesties visited Brecon Cathedral and met members of the community who are involved in the life of Cathedral, including Friends of Brecon Cathedral, which His Majesty was Patron of as Prince of Wales.

Brecknockshire Agricultural Society which His Majesty was Patron of as Prince of Wales had the pleasure of welcoming Their Majesties King to sample Brecon County Show Taster Day which took place on King George V Playing Field (next to Theatr Brycheiniog).

The show committee put on a small selection of livestock, sheep shearing by the Welsh Sheep Shearing Team, exhibitors, trade stands, tractors, machinery and the Aberhonddu Male Voice Choir song delightfully as Their Majesties walked around..

Afterwards Their Majesties departed for Theatr Brycheiniog to meet members of the community and celebrate local volunteers and public sector.

The Taster Day opened to the public afterwards.
